What I changed:
In this essay i changed around my opening paragraph so that it would make the rest of this essay sound much better. Also i changed around some of my sentence structure so it sounded much better.
Small Colleges and Big Colleges how do they compare?
Larger colleges and smaller colleges are similar and different in many ways. There’re many things that are different like population, majors, things to do, and most of all is the money. Although some may start out at a smaller college and end up at a larger school just because of the extent of a certain major. There may be smaller schools in a larger city along with a larger college and that’s when that type of activity takes place.
A big college campus will usually have a larger amount of students and have a greater amount of majors and minors to offer to their students. The most important idea about a larger campus is the amount of money or tuition that it costs to go there. They also make greater sums of money because they will have students from out state and the out of state tuition is much more than the in state tuition. Larger campuses will offer more sports and will have the better types of athletes in general. Bigger campuses usually are division I and sometimes division II. When it comes to a sport that’s the top level which is usually why they have more sports to offer and that will create a larger student body.
Small colleges campuses are usually based around a smaller amount of student body and don’t usually cost the larger sums of money that larger colleges do. The downfall to a smaller campus is they don’t have the housing that bigger campuses do. Smaller campuses usually offer the basic sports and usually are small division II or a division III school. They can however offer the same amount of majors like a larger campus and could necessarily give you the exact same teaching and degree. The off campus living may also be another downfall to smaller campus because if your in the same city as a larger campus their students may take up the off campus housing or if your in a much smaller town there may not be much off campus housing offered. That can then limit the amount of students on that campus.
In conclusion, smaller and larger campuses do have many things in common such as they both will offer then college atmosphere and still will give you that feeling of being in college. They in general will offer basic majors like business or sports, even nursing. Larger Campuses overall are much better in the end because there’s more to do and usually easier to meet new people and feel on your own. They have more to offer and are usually in a larger city or area which is always a plus.
